1862 The Civil War
Volunteered in January 30 1862 to fight on the Confederate side during the 
Civil War, serving with Company C, 1st Regiment of North Carolina State 
Troops known as the "Lillington Rifle Guards".  Griffith was shot and died in 
Goldsboro, North Carolina, April 3, 1862.

Goldsboro, NC (died from a gunshot wound).
