Henry Fryar

HENRY FRYAR, Private 61st. Regiment, North Carolina Infantry CSA

Henry Fryar, was born in 1833 the son of William Fryar and Molsey Gregory and the Grandson 
of Jonathan Fryar, RS

Henry enlisted 20 April 1861 along with his brothers Thomas and Owen.
He served in Capt. William S. Devane’s Independent Company North Carolina Troops.
He transferred to this company on or about September 5, 1862.
He was reported present or accounted for on surviving company muster rolls through
October 31, 1864.
He served as a Mail Carrier during most of that period.
He survived the war.

He was married to Francis Faison daughter of William Wright Faison and Elizabeth Ann Oates.

Henry Fryar died in about 1889, and he would have been my Great Granduncle.
