John Trueblood, Pvt
Co. A, 68th Regiment NC Troops (Infantry)
Born in Pasquotank County in 1840. Enlisted as  a Pvt in April, 1863, served through April, 1865. 
Wounded in March, 1865 probably at the Battle of Wise's Fork. The roster of most of the enlisted 
companies of the 68th did not survive the War. His service was verified through his application for 
a pension based on his Confederate service.
