T. Jordan and found the following: 
-Co. B, 8th Battalion NC Partisan Rangers, Williams, Joseph H., Private:  
Enlisted in Jones County May 15, 1862 for the war.  Present or accounted for 
until transferred to Company F. 66th Regt. NC Troops Oct. 2, 1863
-Vol. XV, page 369; Joseph Horie Williams, 66th Regt. Co. F
Williams, Joseph Horie, Corporal: Previously served as Private in Company A, 
8th Battalion NC Partisan Rangers.  Transferred to this company on October 2, 
1863.  Mustered in as Private.  Deserted on October 10, 1863.  Returned to duty 
in March-April, 1864.  Reported present through October 31, 1864.  Promoted to 
Corporal on October 1, 1864.  Reported absent without leave on March 16, 1865.  
Survived war.
-Searched State Auditor, 1885 Pension Act and State Auditor, 1901 Pension Act 
without finding Joseph H. Williams.
