2nd Company A.  36th Regiment - Artillery.
Enlisted in Duplin County at age 42, November 6, 1861 for the war.  
Present or accounted for through August 1864.  
Captured at Fort Fisher January 15, 1865 and confined at Elmira, N.Y., until paroled for 
exchange February 20, 1865.  Admitted to hospital at Richmond, Va., February 28, 1865.
