The second work is not the typical smoothly realistic, cool, detached, overly romanticized
Currier and Ives print version so often seen in museums, galleries, and publications. It is
rather a “hell-for-leather” Expressionist (meaning gut feelings have prominence) rendering of
a Confederate cavalry charge, appropriately titled, “Yieeahh!” This pen and ink was done
some time ago, yet still packs a wallop.
