C. F. (Charles Franklin) Jarrett, son of Samuel Jarrett and Clara Zimmerman


Residence:  Dallas, Gaston County, NC
Occupation:  Farmer


Service Record:  Private, Co. H, 23rd Regiment NC Infantry.  He enlisted October 1863 
in Gaston County.  He was wounded at the battle of Winchester, captured on September 
19, 1864 and sent to Point Lookout, MD on Sept. 23, 1864.  His name appears on a 
Muster Roll of a detachment of paroled and exchanged prisoners at Camp Lee, near 
Richmond, VA Feb. 18, 1865.


He married Harriet Newell Brumfield Oct. 31, 1865 in Gaston County, NC.
Occupation:  Cabinet maker
Date of death:  Dec. 15, 1914 - Newton, Catawba County, NC
Burial:  Eastview Cemetery, Newton, NC
