Contributed by: Keats Sparrow In the NC Archives, I've found an 1862 roster of Captain Sutton's Artillery Company, the "Lenoir Braves," including Isaac Sparrow, who was discharged with pay in 1862. No reason is given for his discharge, but the fact that he was paid indicates his discharge was honorable. It's possible that he was among the Lenoir Braves captured at the fall of Hatteras and made a Prisoner of War but was released in 1862. Because the Lenoir Braves was an artillery company, Isaac Sparrow was an Artilleryman. |
